Energy enhancement and efficient route selection mechanism using H-SWIPT for multi-hop IoT networks

Simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) is recently emerging as one of the vital solutions to prolong lifetime energy constrained sensor nodes. However, current works on SWIPT considered only immediate past-hop node's RF signal a source harvesting in multi-hop Internet things (IoT) networks. In case weak radio frequency (RF) signal, amount harvested does not support for continuous communication. Hence, this paper new mechanism proposed which considers multiple sources (MS) such (1) sink broadcasting energy, (2) co-channel interference, (3) neighbor nodes' (4) harvesting. Towards prospect, architecture called hybrid (H-SWIPT) by integrating time switching (TS) splitting (PS) architectures. Furthermore, an efficient route selection introduced minimize total consumption path based cost metric. To validate mechanism, simulation experiments are conducted obtained superiority H-SWIPT compared with existing methods terms average energy. Further, effectiveness method performance investigated through at different node density barrier rates.
